Self-Love Starts With a Better Question 🌷
February gets marketed as hearts, flowers, and romance.
But real self-love isn’t loud or performative.
It’s attuned.
Here’s something I’ve been reflecting on lately:
Not all energy is created equal.
Some days, self-love looks like grounding.
Other days, it looks like activation.
And sometimes, it looks like giving yourself permission to meet the moment exactly as you are.
Self-love is asking a better question than “What should I do?”
It’s asking:
WHAT KIND OF ENERGY DO I NEED RIGHT NOW?
There are moments when my soul needs safety and steadiness.
That’s when I slow everything down and use a 3-4-5 breath.
Inhale for 3.
Hold for 4.
Exhale for 5.
That breath tells the body, You’re okay. You’re held.
There are other moments when I need confidence, courage, or enthusiasm.
Before an event.
Before a conversation.
Before showing up for something that matters.
That’s when self-love looks like movement.
Standing taller.
Shaking it out.
Changing my physical state so my energy follows.
HERE’S THE REFRAME I WANT TO
OFFER YOU THIS MONTH:
YOU DON’T NEED MORE ENERGY.
YOU NEED THE RIGHT ENERGY.
And when you learn how to create your energy on purpose, everything changes.
How you show up.
How you connect.
How much joy you’re available to feel.
Joy isn’t something you wait for.
It responds to how well you’re listening to yourself.
✨ TRY THIS TODAY
Pause once today and ask yourself,
“What kind of energy would feel most loving right now?”
Then choose one small action to match it.
One breath.
One stretch.
One song.
One moment of stillness.
That’s self-love in action.
With so much love,
Allegra
